Transport Rule (Sealed & Cased)

Getting a replica to and from a field means carrying it unloaded, out of sight and not ready for immediate use — usually in a closed case or bag rather than slung visibly.

The core idea mirrors real firearm transport law: a gun in transit should not be mistakable for one about to be used, so it travels disassembled or at minimum bagged and out of view, magazines removed or emptied, rather than visible through a car window or carried openly on the street.

Fields and clubs commonly remind members of this precisely because a member of the public seeing what looks like a real weapon carried openly can and does trigger a genuine police response — the rule exists to prevent exactly that scenario, not as a bureaucratic formality. This is general information, not legal advice — always confirm current requirements with your national authority and your field before you buy, carry or play.

A simple, low-cost habit that satisfies this in practice is a plain, opaque gun bag kept in the boot rather than the passenger area — cheap insurance against exactly the kind of misunderstanding this rule exists to prevent.
