Ammo & Accuracy

Tracer BB

Tracer BBs glow in flight when charged by UV light beforehand, fired through a matching tracer unit that positions them at the muzzle for a visible trail — mostly a low-light and night-game feature.

A phosphorescent coating absorbs UV light from a small charging lamp on the tracer unit itself, storing energy that releases as visible glow once the BB launches, most dramatic in dusk or fully dark conditions where the streak is easy to see.

Beyond the visual effect, tracers give real feedback on where shots are actually landing, which is genuinely useful for calling adjustments in low light. Tracer-specific BBs cost more than standard ammo and their glow fades with each reload's charge, so players tend to reserve them for night games rather than everyday skirmishing.

Charge time under the LED matters less than most players expect — a fraction of a second of exposure at the muzzle is usually enough per shot — but a magazine loaded straight from a dark storage container benefits from one longer initial charge before the first shots.
