Skirmish (Skirm)

Skirmish is casual, pick-up-style airsoft — open games with loose objectives, quick respawns and no long-form scenario, run most Saturdays at commercial fields.

Games typically run 15–30 minutes each around simple objectives — team deathmatch, capture a flag, hold a point — with players respawning at a set point after being hit rather than sitting out for the rest of a long scenario, keeping the pace fast and beginner-friendly.

It's the entry point for most new players precisely because the commitment is low: no need for a full loadout, radio discipline or a weekend-long scenario, just rented or basic gear and a few hours of games. Skirmish sites are also where most people first try different guns and roles before settling into a preferred playstyle.

Rental gear is almost always available at commercial skirmish sites specifically to lower this barrier further, so a genuinely new player can try the sport for one day without owning anything at all before deciding whether to invest.
