Spawn Camping
Spawn camping is holding a position right next to the enemy respawn point to eliminate players the moment they re-enter play, widely seen as unsporting and banned at most fields.
Because a respawning player is meant to get a fair chance to rejoin the fight, sitting within easy range of the respawn point and shooting people as they walk out defeats the purpose of respawn entirely and is treated as bad form even where it isn't explicitly against the written rules.
Most fields address it directly, either with an explicit no-camping rule enforced by marshals, a safe zone radius around the respawn point where engagement isn't allowed, or both — it's one of the few tactics that's genuinely allowed by physics and geometry but socially and often formally banned regardless.
Some fields solve the problem structurally rather than just through rules, designing multiple or rotating respawn points specifically so no single location can be reliably watched for the whole duration of a game.
