Gameplay & Formats
Speedsoft
Speedsoft is a fast, low-gear format inspired by speedball paintball — minimal loadouts, arena-style courses, and an emphasis on movement and reaction time over realism.
Games run on compact, obstacle-filled courses with short rounds and quick respawns, closer to an esports match in pace than a milsim scenario — players wear lightweight jerseys and minimal protective gear rather than full loadouts, since mobility outweighs realism entirely in this format.
Guns are commonly HPA-powered and tuned hard for trigger response and consistent rate of fire, since a fraction of a second often decides an engagement. Speedsoft has grown its own competitive scene with dedicated leagues and rulesets distinct from general skirmish or milsim play.
Because rounds are short and physically demanding, most speedsoft players train fitness specifically for the format rather than relying on general skirmish conditioning, treating quick lateral movement and rapid direction changes as trainable skills in their own right.
