Bang Rule

A bang rule lets a player eliminate someone spotted at extreme close range by shouting "bang" instead of physically shooting them, avoiding a point-blank hit that would sting badly.

Common in tight CQB corners where a corner-peek can put two players face to face at under a metre, a bang rule treats a clearly called-out "bang" the same as a real hit — the called player is out or respawns exactly as if shot — without anyone actually firing at that unsafe distance.

It exists purely for safety and comfort rather than realism: unlike a real firearm, a BB fired at true point-blank range causes disproportionate pain and bruising, so most CQB-heavy fields adopt some version of this rule alongside their minimum engagement distance policy rather than relying on distance rules alone.

Calling it loudly and immediately matters more than technique — a hesitant or quiet "bang" that the other player doesn't clearly hear defeats the entire safety purpose of having the rule in the first place.
