DTD (Dead Til Deployed)
DTD means a hit player stays fully out of the scenario until a scripted redeployment point — no respawn at all until the mission structure brings them back in.
Unlike a respawn system where a hit player walks to a point and rejoins within minutes, DTD holds them out entirely — sometimes for the rest of that mission phase, sometimes until an in-game logistics event like a resupply run or extraction physically returns them to play.
This makes every hit carry real weight and forces teams to actually manage manpower rather than treating deaths as a minor inconvenience, which is exactly why it's common in serious MilSim scenarios built around attrition, resource management and realistic consequences rather than constant action.
Understanding a scenario's specific DTD triggers in advance — what actually brings a player back in — is worth confirming at the briefing, since "dead until deployed" means something meaningfully different from one scenario's ruleset to the next.
