MilSim

Also called: Military Simulation

MilSim events run long-form, mission-driven scenarios over hours or days, emphasising realism in gear, comms discipline and tactics over quick respawn action.

Rather than short, repeated rounds, a MilSim scenario runs continuously — sometimes overnight or across an entire weekend — with real objectives, limited respawns (often DTD instead of instant respawn), logistics and a command structure that mirrors real military operations far more closely than skirmish play.

Gear expectations rise accordingly: low-cap magazines, realistic camo, working comms and enough supplies to sustain hours in the field are common requirements rather than options. MilSim attracts players who want tactics, planning and immersion to matter as much as marksmanship, and events are usually run by dedicated organisers rather than a commercial field's regular schedule.

First-time MilSim attendees are strongly advised to read the full event pack in advance rather than skimming it, since logistics failures — missing a required item, misunderstanding the comms plan — cause more early exits than actually being hit does.
