LiPo Battery
Also called: lithium polymer
LiPo packs deliver high, stable current at low weight, making them the standard choice for AEGs that need consistent motor torque under load.
Lithium polymer cells hold more energy per gram than NiMH and discharge it at a steadier voltage through a shot string, which keeps rate of fire consistent from the first shot to the last rather than sagging as the pack drains.
They demand real care in return: over-discharging, puncturing or charging an unbalanced pack can cause a fire, so every LiPo needs a dedicated balance charger and a fireproof storage bag when not in use. Capacity is rated in mAh and discharge capability in C-rating — both printed on the pack and both worth checking against what the gearbox actually needs.
Storage voltage matters as much as charge cycles for pack lifespan: leaving a LiPo fully charged for weeks between games degrades it faster than storing it at the roughly 50% "storage charge" most balance chargers offer as a dedicated mode.
