mAh (Battery Capacity)

Also called: milliamp hours

mAh rates how much charge a battery holds, which translates roughly into how many shots or how long it lasts before needing a recharge.

A higher mAh figure at the same voltage and chemistry means more stored energy and, all else equal, more shots per charge — useful for a full day's skirmish rather than several short packs — but higher capacity generally means a physically larger, heavier battery that has to fit the gun's battery compartment or stock.

mAh says nothing about how fast a battery can deliver that energy, which is what C-rating covers instead; a large-capacity but low-C pack can still bog down under a demanding motor even though it technically holds plenty of charge.

A rough rule of thumb some players use: a 1300mAh pack comfortably covers a half-day of moderate semi-auto play, though heavy full-auto use or a very high rate of fire burns through capacity noticeably faster than that estimate assumes.
